Tanith was my first pure bred Labrador and she was a fantastic dog.
As soon as she could go out this yellow lab, who never went yellow and remained white etched herself on my heart.
During our first holiday Labrador curiosity nearly killed her. she looked over a cliff to hind her paw suspended in mid air, I quickly pulled her in, but I think she realised I saved her life that day and we just grew closer and closer every day.
It is hard writing about her even now 7 years after her death. so I will stop here and just add.
I didn’t realise how much I loved her until She had to leave me and I still wonder if I did the right thing that Day.
Of course I didn’t want her to suffer, but it was a matter of Money. We were on the verge of moving and Funds were short, to short at the time for the £1000 operation she needed because she had a womb infection.
This was the problem I think. If there was nothing the vets could do for her, as in the case of the rest of our dogs, I could have accepted her loss easier. But the fact that It was down to money still wrangles me.
This is the last and only remaining video of Tanith and Ebony and it was Tanith’s last Christmas we were preparing to move at this time and as you can see Tanith is a bit camera shy, she always was. I did upload this to utube, but they in their wisdom? They removed the soundtrack as there was background music. They told me this was there intention and I pointed out it was the only remaining footage I have of those dogs and I would rather they did not remove the sound, as it is all old background music and as with the picture quality it is not anywhere near broadcast quality. They decided to ignore me. Thanks for that Youtube (Being sarcastic)
I found the original and I uploaded it to my space, but though the mp4 version of the uploaded video had no sound. The original copy did, but is far to big to upload to the site. So this is a compromise solution I am afraid. I have not given up with lack of sound yet though.
