Ebony

Ebony was Tanith's daughter and Tanith was a very special dog. So was Ebony.

She was always very protective of us, but she loved attention and got on with just about everyone. She was a much respected lady and she and her mum spent many years in each other company.

She was one of Tanith's first puppies to be spoken for, but in the end her new prospective owners never materialised to collect her. So we decided to keep her ourselves.

We could Take Tanith and Ebony anywhere, as they were always good dogs. I am proud to have had the honour of living with them both.

Ebony did bond more with Julia than myself. But we we were involved in the move from Kent to Leicester. Julia and myself had to separate for a while. Then She for a while at least became my dog.

It must have been confusing for her that Julia suddenly was not there any more. But I will never forget that when Julia came back to Kent for a few days over Christmas. Ebony became very excited to see Julia again, and I think she really enjoyed that Christmas.

Sadly her mum had to go to sleep for the last time and we were both devastated to loose Tanith. I still miss her, I miss all my dogs, but as I said before Tanith was a very special dog.

Very soon after Tanith Died I was made aware of a 0 week old puppy who needed a Home. He is still with us that is Ben.

Ebony was a bit Aloof of Ben to start with, but they both helped each other through a difficult time.

I would have preferred a bit more time for Ebony and myself to Grieve the loss of Tanith, but it was not fair to Deprive the 10 Week old puppy Ben who needed a home.

Ebony  left us last year (2012) She was nearly 16 when in effect her body just wore out. Her mind still seemed quite sharp, but she had lost control of her Body.  It was not nice seeing her deteriorate daily and in the end we realised her quality of life was not any longer anything to speak of.

We went to the vet with her and left without her. but she died in my arms.
